Washington, D.C. – For the past five games the Fordham offense has been stealing the headlines, putting up big numbers in leading the Rams to victory. Today the defense reminded Fordham fans there are two sides of the ball, leading the Rams to a 41-20 Patriot League win over Georgetown University on Copper Field.

With the win, Fordham's sixth in a row, the Rams improve to 6-3 overall, 4-0 in the Patriot League, while Georgetown falls to 2-6 overall, 1-4 in the League.

The win sets up a showdown next week between two undefeated Patriot League teams when Holy Cross pays a visit to Jack Coffey Field.

Senior safety
Jesse Bramble led the Fordham defense with six solo tackles to go with in an interception while junior defensive back
Stephen Williams II made six solo stops and freshman linebacker
James Conway finished with six total tackles, including one for loss.

The offense also kept up its recent success with senior quarterback
Tim DeMorat completing 22 of 37 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns while graduate student running back
Zach Davis gained 103 yards on 21 carries with two scores. Senior wide receiver
Fotis Kokosioulis led all Fordham receivers with five catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

After Georgetown took a 6-0 lead on the first possession of the game, the Rams came right back to tie at six on a four-yard Davis rush with 6:45 left in the first.

The Rams took a 20-6 halftime lead thanks to a
Dequece Carter ten-yard touchdown reception and a Davis three-yard run with 5:37 left in the half.

Fordham scored the first drive of the second half on a six-yard DeMorat to Kokosioulis strike to take a 27-6 lead and then put the game away when Trey Wilson rambled 33 yards for a score and a 34-6 lead midway through the third.
