Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2021-2022 season, Fordham's 119th varsity season, by traveling across the Bronx to face the Manhattan College Jaspers in the Draddy Gymnasium on Friday, November 12, at 7:00 p.m. in the annual Battle of the Bronx.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with Greg Mescall (p-b-p) and Chris Williams (color) announcing, and streamed on
www.wfuvsports.org with Nick DeLuca (p-b-p) and Ryan Gregware (color) behind the mics.
Fordham enters the game off a 77-67 season-opening win over Columbia in the Rose Hill Gym on Tuesday night while Manhattan opened its season with a 99-42 win over Manhattanville College in Draddy Gym on Tuesday.
Friday night's contest will be the 113th meeting between Fordham and Manhattan on the hardwood. The Jaspers lead the all-time series, which started in 1911, 58-54.
Notes
• The 112 games played against Manhattan are the most for the Rams against any opponent while the 54 wins over the Jaspers are the most victories over any team for Fordham.
• Last year was the first year that the two teams did not play each other since the 1944-1945 season.
• With the win over Columbia on Tuesday, the Rams are 77-36 (.682) in season openers since 1908, 82-20 (.804) in home openers.
• The Rams have won three of the past four season openers.
