Men’s Soccer Makes Five Additions to Recruiting Class

Rams’ Recruiting Class Reaches 12 Players for 2020 Season

Bronx, N.Y. – (June 8, 2020) – Fordham men's soccer head coach Carlo Acquista announced the addition of five more players for the 2020 season, bringing the number of newcomers to 12 for next season.
 
The Rams have added graduate students Lennart Keßner (Hamburg, Germany/Elsa-Brändström-Schule) and Alberto Pangrazzi (Lavis, Italy/Liceo Martini (Central Methodist Univ.), and incoming freshmen Massimo Banfi (Millington, N.J./Morristown-Beard), Alex Dolce (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville), and Florian Deletioglu (Riemerling, Germany/European School of Munich).
 
Keßner is a graduate of Elsa-Brändström-Schule in Germany.  He most recently played for Eintracht Norderstedt in Regionalliga Nord as an attacking winger under the direction of coach Jens Martens.  He appeared in nine games, posting a goal and an assist.  Prior to that, he spent three seasons with St. Pauli II, under coach Joachim Philipkowski.
 
Pangrazzi played the last two seasons at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, where he was a 2019 NAIA Second Team All-American forward and a two-year member of the Dean's List.  He led CMU with a school record 23 goals to go with five assists in 23 games, recording four hat tricks as a senior.  He earned a spot on the 2019 NAIA National Championship All-Tournament Team as well as on the All-Heart Conference First Team.  Overall, he netted 34 goals and nine assists for the Eagles.  Prior to joining Central Methodist, Pangrazzi attended Universita Degli Studi di Padova in Padova, Italy.
 
Banfi was a three-year forward for the varsity soccer team at Morristown-Beard School in New Jersey, where he was team captain as a senior.  He led the team in scoring in each of his three seasons, finishing as the school record holder.  He was a three-time All-Conference and All-County selection and was selected to the All-State Prep Third Team in 2019.  Banfi played club soccer for Cedar Stars Academy Newark 2001 (EDP-NL), helping the team to a top five ranking in New Jersey and to the quarterfinals of the 2019 Dallas Cup.  Off the field, he is a four-year member of the Honor Roll and a member of the National Honor Society.
 
Dolce was a four-year varsity goalkeeper at Unionville High School in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.  A senior year team captain, he set school records for wins (38) and shutouts (29), helping Unionville to four Chesmont American Division Championships and the 2019 Chesmont Championship.  He was a two-time First Team All-Chesmont Conference selection and a two-time All-Area pick.  For club soccer, Dolce played for U17 Delaware FC 2002, which most recently took championships at the Jeff Cup and for the East Coast Soccer League, while being an ENPL National qualifier.  Off the field, he is a member of the National Honor Society.
 
Deletioglu is a graduate of the European School of Munich (ESM) in Germany.  He played two seasons of soccer there before joining Spielvereinigurg Unferhaching for the past four years.  He was a part of the U19 team that grabbed second place in Bayernliga for the 2018-19 campaign, while the U17 team was eighth in the Bundesliga in 2017-18.
 
This group joins earlier announced recruits Sebastian Fabrin (Hellerup, Denmark/Øregård Gymnasium), Galen Flynn (West Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford), Max Rogers (Sydney, Australia/St. Ignatius College), Gianluca Sciortino (Maple, Ontario/St. Joan of Arc), Josh Levine (Rockvile Centre, N.Y./South Side (Penn State)), James Burris (Easton, Conn./Fairfield Prep), and Dominick Commesso (Summit, N.J./Morristown Beard).
