Join the Rams in Hawaii

Bronx, N.Y. - A schedule that features five home games on Jack Coffey Field and a road game at the  University of Hawaii highlight the eleven-game 2020 Fordham University football schedule released today.

The 2020 season, Fordham's 120th of varsity football, will be the third for head coach Joe Conlin, who arrived at Fordham in 2018 after serving as the associate head coach/offensive coordinator at Yale for the previous four years where he led the Bulldogs to the 2017 Ivy League title.

The Rams open the season on Saturday, August 29, as they host Stony Brook University on Jack Coffey Field at 6:00 p.m. It will be the fifth meeting between the Rams and the Seawolves and the third straight years the two teams have met.

The following week, September 6, the Rams host Bryant University from the Northeast Conference. It will be the sixth meeting between the Rams and the Bulldogs, and the third consecutive meeting between the two schools.

On September  the Rams take to the road, or more accurately the air, taking the longest road trip in Fordham football history, venturing across the country and the Pacific Ocean for a game at the University of Hawaii. The 4,962 miles between campuses is the longest trip for the Rams, surpassing the 3,165 miles they traveled for a game against Holy Cross in Dublin, Ireland, in 1991. It will be Fordham's first football game against a Mountain West Conference opponent.

After a bye week, the Rams make a much shorter trip, driving south to West Long Branch, N.J., to face Monmouth University, the defending Big South champions, on September 26. It will be the fourth meeting between the Rams and Hawks, the first since 2016.

The Rams return to Jack Coffey Field the following Saturday, October 3, to open Patriot League by hosting Lafayette College for Homecoming Weekend. The two schools have split the past eight meetings of a series that started in 1903.

Fordham closes out the non-conference portion of the schedule with a trip to Staten Island to take on Wagner College on October 10. It will be the 12th meeting between the Rams and Seahawks, the first on the NCAA FCS level.

The Rams return to Patriot League play on October 17 with a trip to Lewisburg. Pa., to take on Bucknell University. The Rams have taken the past seven meetings with the Bison, including a 31-14 win on Jack Coffey Field in last year's finale.

Following a bye week, the Rams head out on Route 78 to Bethlehem, Pa., for a league game at Lehigh University. The Rams have won five of the past seven meetings with the Mountain Hawks.
