Richmond, Va. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2019-2020 season, Fordham's 117th varsity season, and opens the 2020 Atlantic 10 season, by traveling to Richmond, Va., to face the VCU Rams in the Stuart C. Siegel Center on Thursday, January 2, at 7:00 p.m.
 
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Scott Jackson (p-b-p) and John Feinstein (color) announcing and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and streamed on www.wfuvsports.org, with Emmanuel Berbari (p-b-p) and Andrew Posadas (color) announcing.
 
Fordham enters the game with a 6-6 record and is coming off a 62-56 win over Coppin State University in the Rose Hill Gym on Monday night while VCU is 10-3 on the year and is coming off an 85-51 win over Loyola Maryland in Richmond on Sunday.
 
Thursday night's contest will be the eleventh meeting between Fordham and VCU on the hardwood. VCU leads the all-time series, 9-1, and has won the past three meetings.

• The Fordham Rams have come out strong on the defensive end in 2019-2020.
 
• The Rams have held their first 12 opponents to an average of 59.7 ppg while the 12 Fordham foes shot just .392 (250-637) from the field, second best among A-10 teams.
 
• Fordham is second in the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense and 15th in the NCAA.
 
• Junior forward Chuba Ohams picked up his fourth double-double of the season with a 10-point, 10-rebound effort vs. Coppin State.
 
• Ohams leads the team in scoring (11.3 ppg) and rebounding (8.5).
 
•Senior guard Erten Gazi is averaging 11.4 ppg over the past five games, including netting career-high 21 points against James Madison.
 
• Sophomore guard Jalen Cobb matched his career-high with 21 points in the win over Coppin State.
