Kingston, R.I. – (March 29, 2019) – Friday's Atlantic 10 series opener between Fordham and Rhode Island was a classic pitcher's duel, where both staffs were stellar at Bill Beck Field in Kingston, Rhode Island. However, Fordham's trio of

The drama remained high into the eighth inning, as the score remained 1-0 with both teams getting a runner thrown out at home, as well as having a chance with the bases loaded. Both teams then ended the inning with a strikeout, keeping Fordham ahead by one.
Fordham then took advantage of another Rhode Island error to get an important insurance run, making it, 2-0, in the ninth.
