Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2018-2019 season, Fordham's 116th varsity season, and their 2019 Atlantic 10 schedule by hosting the Duquesne University Dukes in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Saturday, February 9, at 2:00 p.m.
The game will be the Salute to Heroes Day at Rose Hill as members of the NYPD, FDNY and the Port Authority of NY/NJ will attend.
As a way of thanking the heroes for their efforts, members of the NYPD, FDNY and PAPD who show their badge at the door will receive up to four free tickets (first come first serve).
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Andrew Bogusch (p-b-p) and Darwin Zook (color) announcing and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and
www.wfuvsports.org with Raffaele Elia (p-b-p) and Vinny DeBellis (color) announcing.
Fordham enters the game with a 10-12 overall record, 1-8 in the Atlantic 10, and is coming off an 85-67 A-10 win at Massachusetts on Wednesday night while Duquesne is 15-8 overall on the season, 6-4 in the conference, after a 51-49 A-10 loss to St. Bonaventure in Pittsburgh on Wednesday night.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 40th meeting between Fordham and Duquesne on the hardwood with the Dukes leading the all-time series, which started in the 1949-50 season, 23-16. Duquesne took this year's first meeting, 66-61, in Pittsburgh on January 9 as Eric Williams, Jr., recorded a double-double for the Dukes with 16 points and 13 rebounds while
Jalen Cobb led the Rams with 16 points.
The two schools split a pair of games last year with Duquesne winning, 64-41, in the Rose Hill Gym on January 6 behind 21 points from Rene Castro-Caneddy, and the Rams taking an 80-57 decision in Pittsburgh on February 10 as
Ivan Raut scored a career-high 25 points.

Nick Honor is eighth in the Atlantic 10, and 13th among all NCAA Div. I freshmen, averaging 15.8 ppg.
• Honor has scored in double figures in 20 of the 22 games this year.
• The Rams lead the Atlantic 10, and are 32nd in the NCAA, in turnover margin at +3.4.
• The Rams lead the Atlantic 10, shooting .348 (198-569) from behind the arc, and are second in the conference with 9.0 three-pointers made/game.

• Fordham is one of the youngest teams in the NCAA Div. I this year with eight freshmen and two sophomores on the 17-man roster.
