Dequece Carter was named Patriot League Football Rookie of the Week it was announced today. It is the first weekly honor of the season for Carter.

In a 49-27 Patriot League loss to Holy Cross on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, Carter hauled in seven passes for 120 yards and two scores. He caught a one-yard scoring strike rom quarterback
Tim DeMorat late in the first half and a 13-yarder on the final play of the game.

Among his seven catches was a highlight-reel, one-handed, reception in the second quarter that appeared on ESPN's "Saturday's Best" as the "Best One-Handed Catch".

On the season, Carter has 43 receptions for a team-high 636 yards and five touchdowns. His 636 receiving yards is a Fordham freshman record, surpassing the former mark of 591 set by Javarus Dudley in 2000.
Carter is also five catches shy of Dudley's freshman receptions record of 48.

The Rams close out the 2019 season on Saturday, November 23, as they host the Bucknell University Bison in a Patriot League game on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
