Richmond, Va. - The Fordham volleyball team fell in straight sets on Sunday afternoon at VCU, last year's Atlantic 10 regular season champion. With the loss, the Rams move to 7-10 overall and 0-5 in league play.
Olivia Fairchild led the way offensively with nine kills, matching her output from Friday. The redshirt junior is now just seven kills away from her 1,000th, which she hopes to reach at this Friday's home opener against Dayton. Fairchild added four digs, a block, and an ace.
Elise Benjamin chipped in eight kills and two blocks, while
McKenna Lahr added five and
Kaitlin Morley, returning from injury, had four.
Morgan Williams notched nine digs to lead the squad.
The Rams will finally open up the home portion of their schedule this coming weekend, hosting Dayton and Saint Louis on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m., respectively. The matches are the first of four consecutive weekends in the newly renovated Rose Hill Gym. Catch all the action on ESPN+!
