Newport News, Va. – For the second time in the last three weeks and the third time this season, Fordham women's basketball standout redshirt sophomore
Bre Cavanaugh was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, sharing the honor this week with Davidson's Sarah Donovan.

Cavanaugh helped lead the Rams to two more conference victories this past week by averaging 19.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.0 steals across 38.5 minutes per game. The wins were Fordham's sixth and seventh in a row as the team now sits at 12-5 overall and 3-0 in the league.
The Allamuchy, N.J. native flirted with a triple-double on Wednesday against Richmond in front of 2,500 fans and local schoolchildren during the team's annual Field Trip Day event. She posted 20 points, her seventh 20-point effort of the year, matched her career-high of 12 rebounds (four offensive), and set a new personal mark with seven assists in the 12-point win. On Sunday, Cavanaugh helped rally to defeat Saint Louis on the road, scoring all 18 of her points after the first quarter, adding six rebounds, two assists, and a steal, while playing all 40 minutes.
Cavanaugh paces the Rams with 18.2 points per game, ranked 63
rd in Division I, on 37.0% shooting, is second on the team with 7.3 rebounds, and is third with 40 assists. Her 21 steals also leads the squad. She has played the second-most minutes in the country, at 654, and is third with a 38.5 average per game.
She has started all 51 contests in her Fordham career and is up to 889 career points.
