Smithfield, R.I. – (September 8, 2018) – In a proverbial "slugfest" that saw 41 fouls in the match, the 11
th-ranked Fordham Rams played to a 1-1 double overtime draw with the Bryant Bulldogs in men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Bulldogs Soccer Stadium.
With the draw, Fordham moves to 3-0-1 on the year, while Bryant is 0-4-1.
The game was scoreless into the 84
th minute, when Bryant broke through for the first goal of the game. Ben Williams flicked a header over Fordham goalkeeper
Rashid Nuhu that snuck into the top corner of the goal for his first of the season.
The Rams answered that late goal with one of their own in the 88
th minute, knotting the game at one.
Johannes Pieles headed down a corner kick from
Janos Loebe to
Joergen Oland, who finished for his second goal of the season, marking the second straight game that Oland has scored a game-tying goal in the final ten minutes of regulation.

Neither team was able to find another marker in regulation or overtime, leaving the contest as a 1-1 draw.
In net, Fordham's
Rashid Nuhu posted four saves in the game, while Olivier Larente had two stops for Bryant.
The Fordham men's soccer team will next be in action on Wednesday, September 12
th, when the Rams play at Marist, beginning at 7:00 PM.
