Tim DeMorat was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week, it was announced today. It is the first career weekly honor for the Merritt Island, Florida, native.

In a 24-13 loss to Central Connecticut State University on Saturday on Jack Coffey Field, DeMorat completed 17 of 27 passes for 184 yards and one touchdown while also rushing 15 times for a five net yards. It was DeMorat's first career start as he became the first true freshman to start at quarterback for the Rams since Peter Maetzold in 2011.

On the year, DeMorat has completed 28 of 43 passes for 346 yards and two touchdowns while he has also run for a score. He leads the Patriot League in completion percentage and is second in passing efficiency (134.2).

After a bye week, the Rams return to action on Saturday, October 6, as they open Patriot League play by hosting Georgetown University on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
