th-ranked Fordham men's soccer team looks to get back in the win column on Wednesday night, as the Rams travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. for a 7:00 PM match at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field
Fordham (3-0-1) needed a late goal by
Joergen Oland to post a 1-1 double-overtime tie at Bryant as the Rams remained unbeaten in 2018. Marist (1-3) lost to Rhode Island, 2-0, on Saturday in its most recent contest, but are a dangerous team, having knocked off then-#17 Pacific, 1-0, on September 3

SERIES HISTORY: This will be the 29th all-time meeting between Fordham and Marist. The Rams hold a 19-7-2 edge in the series with the Red Foxes, and are 6-0-1 in the last seven meetings. The teams last met a year ago when
Janos Loebe's goal in the 81

OLAND EARNS WEEKLY HONORS (9/10): The Atlantic 10 Conference released its men's soccer weekly awards on Monday with Fordham junior defender
Joergen Oland being named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week. It marks the third straight week that Fordham has been honored with a weekly accolade, while being the first career weekly award for Oland.
Oland netted a pair of game-tying goals and was named to the Wisconsin All-Invitational Team this week. Last Monday, he netted the game-tying goal in the 83rd minute against Northwestern, a game Fordham eventually won in overtime by a 3-2 score. Then on Saturday, he did it again, scoring in the 88th minute against Bryant to give the Rams a 1-1 double overtime draw.
Janos Loebe is tied for NCAA lead
in assists with five in four games.
LAST TIME OUT: In a proverbial "slugfest" that saw 41 fouls in the match, the 11
th-ranked Fordham Rams played to a 1-1 double overtime draw with the Bryant Bulldogs in men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Bulldogs Soccer Stadium.
The game was scoreless into the 84
th minute, when Bryant broke through for the first goal of the game. Ben Williams flicked a header over Fordham goalkeeper
Rashid Nuhu that snuck into the top corner of the goal for his first of the season.
The Rams answered that late goal with one of their own in the 88
th minute, knotting the game at one.
Johannes Pieles headed down a corner kick from
Janos Loebe to
Joergen Oland, who finished for his second goal of the season, marking the second straight game that Oland has scored a game-tying goal in the final ten minutes of regulation.
Neither team was able to find another marker in regulation or overtime, leaving the contest as a 1-1 draw. In net, Fordham's
Rashid Nuhu posted four saves in the game, while Olivier Larente had two stops for Bryant.
