Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2018-2019 season by hosting the Rutgers University Scarlet Knights in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Saturday, December 8, at 2:30 p.m.
The game will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network with Dave Ryan (p-b-p) and Bob Wenzel (color) announcing and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and
www.wfuvsports.org with Emmanuel Berbari (p-b-p) and Jackson Heil (color) announcing.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 55th meeting between Fordham and Rutgers on the hardwood with the all-time series tied, 27-27. The Scarlet Knights have taken the past five meetings, including a 75-63 win last December at Rutgers.

• Freshman
Nick Honor is eighth in the Atlantic 10 and eleventh among all NCAA Div. I freshmen, averaging 17.5 ppg.
• The Rams lead the Atlantic 10 with 10.0 three-pointers made/game.
• Fordham is averaging 75.0 ppg in 2018-2019, fifth best in the Atlantic 10 and a 12-point improvement from last year.
• The Rams are 30-45 all-time against teams currently in the Big 10.
• The last win for the Rams over a Big 10 opponent was a 63-60 victory over Northwestern on December 22, 2001.
• Saturday afternoon's visit by Rutgers will be the first visit by a Big Ten team to the historic Rose Hill Gym since Purdue traveled to the Bronx on February 9, 1935.
• The game will be just the second for a Big Ten school in the Rose Hill Gym and the first visit to Rose Hill for the Scarlet Knights since 1980.
• The Rams did host a pair of Big Ten teams at Madison Square Garden, Michigan on December 3, 1977 and Northwestern on December 22, 2001.
• The Rams will be led by two captains in 2018-2019, senior forward
David Pekarek and senior guard
Antwon Portley.
• Besides eight new freshmen, the Rams also welcome two transfers to the lineup in 2018-2019, Portley (Saint Peter's) and senior
Erten Gazi (DePaul). Both sat out last year after transferring to Fordham and each will have another year of eligibility remaining.
• Fordham is one of the youngest teams in the NCAA Div. I this year with eight freshmen and two sophomores on the 17-man roster.
• The Rams are an international team with five players from foreign countries.
