Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University Head Football Coach
Joe Conlin announced the signing of 15 football student-athletes to letters of intent with Fordham for the 2019 season.
The new class features eight offensive players, six defensive players and one athlete. By position, offensive line, defensive back and wide receivers lead the way with three from each position, followed by two defensive linemen, one linebacker, one running back, one tight end, and one athlete.
The 15 newcomers hail from nine different states, from New York to California. The Garden state was kind to the Rams this year with five of the 15 signees hailing from New Jersey followed by three from New York and one each from California, Florida, Massachusetts, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
"We are excited to welcome the 15 new student-athletes to our program," said Conlin. "The potential of this group is great and they collectively bring a great deal of speed and size to our squad. We can't wait for them to arrive on campus this summer and start their collegiate careers as we eagerly anticipate the 2019 season."
The Rams are scheduled to open their 119th season of varsity football on Saturday, August 31, as they host the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils on Jack Coffey Field. Fordham is entering its 30th season as a member of the NCAA FCS Patriot League.
