Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University Rams continue their 2018 season, Fordham's 118th varsity season, by hosting the Georgetown University Hoyas in their Patriot League opener on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday, October 6, at 1:00 p.m.

The game will be streamed live on Stadium and on Facebook watch with Matt Martucci (p-b-p), Ross Tucker (color), and Morgan Uber (sidelines) announcing and broadcast live on WFUVsports.org with Raffaele Elia (p-b-p), Billy Reinhardt (color) and Jackson Heil (sidelines) handling the announcing chores.

Fordham enters the game with an 0-4 record, coming off a 24-13 loss to Central Connecticut State on Jack Coffey Field on September 22, while Georgetown is 1-4 on the season and is coming off a 35-7 loss at Brown University last Saturday.

This will be the 65th meeting between Fordham and Georgetown on the gridiron with the Rams lead the all-time series, which started in 1889, 39-22-3. The Rams have taken the past six meetings, including a 17-9 win in Washington, D.C., last October as
Austin Longi caught 13 passes for 150 yards and one score,
Andrew Mevis connected on three field goals, and
Luke Medlock completed 25 of 45 passes for 258 yards.

A few notes on the game:

• Senior wide receiver
Austin Longi, a Preseason All-Patriot League selection, has 18 catches for 221 yards and one touchdown this year to bring his career totals to 149 receptions, 1,936 yards and 16 touchdowns.

• Longi ranks ninth on the Fordham career reception list, ninth on the career receiving yards list and tied for eighth on the all-time touchdown reception list.

• Senior wide out
Corey Caddle has ten catches for 87 yards and one touchdown so far this season to bring his career numbers to 111 receptions for 1,313 career yards with 14 scores.

• Caddle currently sits in tenth place on the Fordham career receiving touchdowns list with 14 and 15th on the career receiving yards list (1,342).

• Fordham freshman quarterback
Tim DeMorat was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week, it was announced on September 24 following the CCSU game.

• The Fordham receiving corps is not a selfish bunch as 14 different receivers have caught at least one pass so far in 2018.

• The Fordham Rams have won six straight games when coming off a bye week since 2012.

• The Fordham captains for 2018 are senior defensive back
Dylan Mabin, and senior tight end
Isaiah Searight.

• No New York area football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 50 victories over that stretch. The closest collegiate competitors are Stony Brook (44), Sacred Heart (39), and Rutgers (34), while the NFL's Giants and Jets have 43 and 39 wins, respectively, each.
