Newport News, Va. – (October 1, 2018) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly men's soccer award winners on Monday with Fordham senior forward
Janos Loebe (Kierspe, Germany) being named Offensive Player of the Week. This is the seventh career weekly award for Loebe and fifth Offensive Player of the Week award.
Loebe was a one-person wrecking crew on Saturday in Fordham's 4-2 Atlantic 10 opening win against Rhode Island. He had a hand in all four Fordham goals, notching a goal and a career-high three assists. It was his first career five-point game.
He leads the Rams with eight assists and 14 points to go along with three goals this season. His eight assists are fourth in the NCAA, while he is tied for the NCAA lead in assists per game (1.00/gm) with two other players, Jackson Dietrich of Wright State and Alex Grieve of Northern Kentucky.
Loebe and the rest of the Rams are back in action on Tuesday, October 2
nd, when the Rams host Stony Brook at Jack Coffey Field, beginning at 7:00 PM.
