Mark Donadio Goes 2-for-3 with a Double and a Run Scored

Bronx, N.Y. – Behind home runs from Chandler Bengtson, Joe Engel, and Matt Karo, the Columbia Lions came away with a 6-1 victory over the Fordham Rams in baseball action on Wednesday at Houlihan Park.

With the loss, Fordham falls to 18-15 on the year, while Columbia improved to 10-21.

After a scoreless first inning, Columbia got on the board first, as Chandler Bengtson reached on an infield single and scored on a two-run home run by Joe Engel, his first of the season.

The Lions made it 3-0 in the third, when Matt Karo went yard with a solo home run to left, his first of the season.

Columbia extended the lead to 5-0 by the seventh inning before Fordham finally got on the board.  Mark Donadio legged out a leadoff double, while Matt Tarabek reached on an infield single.  After a strikeout, Luke Stampfl singled through the right side to score Donadio from third.
