The Patriots then knotted the game at four in the bottom of the frame, highlighted by a two-run single from Michael Smith.

The score remained tied until the seventh, when Fordham regained the lead at 5-4.  Luke Stampfl singled up the middle to start the frame and moved to second on a ground out.  Donadio then lined a single off the second baseman's glove into centerfield, scoring Stampfl from second.
