Richmond, Va. – The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2017-2018 season, the 115th season of varsity basketball at Rose Hill, and open their 2017-2018 Atlantic 10 slate, by traveling to Richmond, Va., to face the VCU Rams in the E.J. Wade Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center on Saturday, December 30, at 12:30 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network with Terry Gannon (p-b-p) and Dave Kaplan (color) announcing and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and

Fordham enters the game with a 5-7 record after an 86-69 loss at #10 West Virginia last Saturday afternoon while VCU is 8-5 after a 75-65 win over VMI in Richmond on December 22.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the eighth meeting between Fordham and VCU on the hardwood. VCU won the first six meetings before Fordham took a 69-67 overtime win last January in the Rose Hill Gym on
Antwoine Anderson's buzzer beater at the end of overtime.

• Senior guard
Will Tavares, who leads the Rams in scoring (16.8 ppg), has scored in double figures in each of the 12 games this year.
• Junior guard
Joseph Chartouny leads the NCAA this year in steals/game with 3.67.
• Chartouny has 194 career steals, good for sixth on the Fordham all-time list.
• Chartouny has 355 career helpers, ninth-best in school history.
• Fordham leads the league and is fifth in the NCAA in steals with 122 (11.1/game).
• The 2017-2018 Rams are fourth the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense (66.9) and are third in the league in three-point field goal percentage defense (.306).
