Bronx, N.Y. - After opening the 2016 season on the road, the Fordham men's soccer team gets its home slate underway this weekend, when the Rams host Quinnipiac on Friday night and Fairfield on Labor Day Monday.

SERIES HISTORY: This will be the first ever meeting between Fordham and Quinnipiac on Friday night, while the Stags and Rams have played against each other 19 times previously with Fordham going 14-4-1 in those games. Last year, Fordham and Fairfield played against each other for the first time since 1997, where the Rams pulled out a 3-2 win at Fairfield.
LAST TIME OUT: Delaware's Guillermo Delgado netted the only goal of the game, while the Blue Hens limited the Fordham to five shots, as they picked up a 1-0 win at Grant Stadium in Newark, Delaware.
The only goal of the contest came at the 19-minute mark, as Guillermo Delgado collected a rebound off Fordham goalkeeper
Rashid Nuhu, and shot it past Nuhu into the lower third of the net. It was already Delgado's third goal of the season.
The Rams were held in check during the contest, registering just five shots. The lone save for Delaware goalkeeper Todd Morton came in the 12
th minute off the boot of
Janos Loebe. Loebe had a team-best two shots for the Rams, while
Andrew Hickey,
Eric Ohlendorf, and
Owen Lawrence each had one.
In goal for Fordham, Nuhu made six saves in the loss.
WHO'S NEXT: Following this weekend's action, Fordham ends a three-match homestand at Jack Coffey Field, on Friday, September 9
th, when the Rams host Lafayette, beginning at 7:00 PM.
