Men’s Soccer Posts Stellar Spring Record

The Fordham men's soccer team wrapped up a successful spring season, posting a 4-0-1 mark in five games.
 
"I was extremely pleased with our spring training. We put a lot of time into the weight room, improving technically, building from the back, and increasing our team leadership," said head coach Jim McElderry. "Our group improved collectively and players took full advantage of their opportunities to play in the five matches. I am proud of the way we continue to work on improving our individual games, commitment to the team and our overall mentality. With the current players being the core of the team next year, I am confident we will have the ability to compete with anyone in the country."
 
Fordham earned victories over Adelphi, Fairleigh Dickinson, Marist, and Mercy College, while playing to a draw with LIU Brooklyn.
 
The Rams were paced by Jannik Loebe, who finished with five goals and two assists, and Janos Loebe, who had an impressive four goals and nine assists.  Eric Ohlendorf also had a strong spring, netting three goals and a pair of assists.
