Men’s Basketball Travels to St. John’s on Thursday

Rams look to pick up first road victory of season

Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University men's basketball Rams continue their 2016-2017 season, the 114th varsity season at Rose Hill, by traveling to Jamaica, N.Y., to face the St. John's University Red Storm in Carnesecca Arena on Thursday, December 8, at 6:30 PM.
 
The game will be televised and streamed live on Fox Sports 1 with Rich Ackerman (p-b-p) and Donny Marshall (color) announcing and can also be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on www.wfuvsports.org with Drew Casey (p-b-p) and Pat Costello (color) announcing. Follow the links above.

Fordham enters the game with a 5-4 overall record after a 64-52 loss at Harvard on Saturday afternoon while St. John's is 4-5 on the season after defeating Cal. State Northridge, 76-70, in Carnesecca Arena on Monday night.

Thursday night's contest will be the 88th meeting between Fordham and St. John's on the hardwood with the Red Storm leading the all-time series, 65-22. The 87 games played against St. John's are the second most for the Rams against any opponent (Fordham and Manhattan will meet for the 109th time on Saturday). The Rams took last year's meeting, 73-57, on December 2 in the Rose Hill Gym as Ryan Rhoomes scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Mandell Thomas added 14 points.

• The Rams lead the Atlantic 10 and are 21st in the NCAA in three-pointers attempted this this year (235).
 
• Fordham has recorded double digit steal totals in eight of the nine games this year.
