Lewisburg, Pa. – The Fordham water polo team concluded its regular season on Saturday with an 18-13 loss to 13
th-ranked Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
The loss snaps Fordham's four-match win streak, dropping the Rams to 14-12 overall, 4-6 in the MAWPC.
The Rams fell behind the Bison early, trailing 5-2 after the first quarter, and 9-4 by halftime.
Fordham came alive with a five-goal third quarter, which included three goals from
Jake Miller-Tolt, but could not gain any ground with the Bison scoring six times in the period for a 15-9 lead.
Despite three more tallies from Miller-Tolt, the Rams could only get within five of the Bison, falling by the 18-13 score.
For Fordham, Miller-Tolt scored a season-high eight of the Rams' 13 goals, while
Tristen Knoflick had a pair of goals.
Magnus Sims, Sam Varshisky, and
George Maltby had the remaining markers for the Rams.
The Fordham water polo team will now sit and wait to hear about seeding at the 2016 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Championship, which will take place at Bucknell University, November 18-20.
