Staten Island, N.Y. – Freshman
Jake Miller-Tolt netted three goals to lead the Rams' offense on Wednesday night, as Fordham topped Wagner, 8-6, in a MAWPC match-up at the Spiro Sports Center on Staten Island.
With the win, Fordham extends its win streak to four games, improving to 14-11 overall, 4-5 in the MAWPC, and have now won six of its last seven contests. Wagner fell to 8-18 overall, 3-6 in the league.
The game was a tight one, as the score was even at three after the first quarter and tied at five by halftime.
In the third quarter, Fordham managed to sneak ahead of the Seahawks, 6-5, on an extra-man goal by
R.J. Simmons with 6:35 left. The Seahawks tied the game back up at six at the 4:12 mark, but
Jake Miller-Tolt scored his second goal of the game with 3:27 left to re-gain the lead for Fordham.

The fourth quarter saw the Rams extend the lead to 8-6 early in the period on Miller-Tolt's third goal of the game. From there, Fordham was able to keep the Seahawks off the scoresheet for the two-goal win.

Magnus Sims, and
Cole Donnelly also scored for Fordham in the game.
The Fordham water polo team will next be in action on Saturday, November 5
th, when the Rams travel to Bucknell for a 2:00 PM league game.
