Kevin Anderson Named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week

Senior quarterback throws five touchdown passes vs. Yale

Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham University senior quarterback Kevin Anderson was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week it was announced today. It is the first weekly award of the year for Anderson and the fifth for the Rams.
 
In a 44-37 win over Yale on Jack Coffey Field on Saturday Anderson completed 18 of 27 passes for 270 yards and tied his career high with five touchdowns. The scoring strikes covered 15, 55, 15, 19 and 69 yards. Anderson, who threw for five scores last year against Columbia and Monmouth, also gained 18 yards on seven carries in the game.
 
On the year, Anderson has completed 108 of 184 yards and 1,423 yards and 16 touchdowns. He leads the Patriot League and is seventh in the NCAA FCS in passing touchdowns and is second in the league and 28th in the nation in passing yards.
 
Over his career, Anderson has thrown for 4,306 yards, sixth best in school history, and has 43 career touchdown passes, fourth best all-time at Fordham.
 
The Rams return to action on Saturday, October 22, as they host the Georgetown University Hoyas in a Patriot League game on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
