Live StatsTwitter Updates @FordhamVBBRONX, N.Y. -- The Fordham women's volleyball team (6-10) returns to action this weekend to open Atlantic 10 play with two home matches inside the Rose Hill Gym beginning Friday against Davidson (5-8) at 7 p.m. and ending Sunday, Sept. 27 versus VCU (6-8) at 1 p.m. Fans will be able to view the Davidson match for free online.

What You Need To Know: The Wildcats enter Friday night's contest fresh off a victory at Winthrop last Saturday, where they finished 1-2 at the Winthrop Invitational. Davidson won its own tournament over Labor Day Weekend, which included a 3-0 victory over a Presbyterian team that defeated the Rams, 3-1, in the first match of the season. The Wildcats also lost in four sets at High Point, who the Rams lost to in three sets last Saturday in Loretto, Pa. Mason Rooney is arguably Davidson's best overall player, as she leads the team with 96 kills to go along with 183 assists, 77 digs, 24 total blocks and nine service aces. Mikayla Derochie has dished out a team-high 201 assists and adds 107 digs, 44 kills, 33 total blocks and seven service aces. Morgan Shannon is the team leader in digs (173) and service aces (13) while adding 30 assists, and Sabrina Shepherd (77 K, 39 TB) and Ciera Cockrell (75 K, 25 TB) help anchor the front line.

What You Need To Know: The Rams play at Rhode Island Friday night, before traveling to the Bronx. They have won three of four and four of six after losing four straight. VCU has played some tough competition this season, including Purdue, Virginia, Iowa State, Kansas State, Georgia and Wake Forest, who they defeated in four sets last Saturday on the Demon Deacon's home court. Sahbria McLetchie leads the squad with 145 kills and 16 service aces to go along with 61 digs and 30 total blocks. Indigo Thompson is the primary setter with a team-leading 489 assists while adding 75 digs. Rebekah Strange leads VCU in digs with 136 and has 10 service aces, and Kalah Jones is the only other Ram with over 100 kills having smashed 104.
Up NextThe Rams return to action Friday, Oct. 2 when they travel west to Dayton, Ohio to take on the Flyers of Dayton, with first serve slated for 7 p.m.
