College Sports Madness FCS Players of the Week Center Valley, Pa. – Fordham University junior quarterback
Kevin Anderson was named the Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week it was announced by the league today. It is the first ever weekly honor for Anderson, who was also named the College Sports Madness Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.
In a 44-24 Liberty Cup win over Columbia on Saturday on Jack Coffey Field, Anderson completed 22 of 30 passes for 330 yards and five touchdowns and he also rushed 20 times for 70 yards. His five touchdown passes was just one shy of the school record, set by Kevin Eakin at Rhode Island in 2003 and matched by
Mike Nebrich against Penn last year.
In three starts this year, Anderson has thrown for over 300 yards twice. On the year, the junior has completed 46 of 75 passes for 737 yards and six touchdowns and he ranks eighth in the nation with a 167.6 passing efficiency mark.
The Rams return to action on Saturday, September 26, as they host the Monmouth University Hawks on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
