Behind goals from Jill Muholland and Emily Agudelo, the Hofstra Pride snapped the Fordham Rams' four-game win streak by a 3-1 score at Hofstra Soccer Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y.
With the loss, Fordham finishes non-conference action at 6-3-0 on the season, while Hofstra improved to 6-3-0.
Hofstra got the scoring started in the fifth minute, as Leah Galton dished a pass from the left side to Jill Muholland, who controlled the ball and scored her fourth goal of the season to the left corner.
The Pride made it 2-0 in the 24
th minute, as Emily Agudelo was credited with her second goal of the season as the shot was misplayed by Fordham goalkeeper
Megan Fitzgerald and bounced into the net.
The score remained at 2-0 as the second half got underway and moved to 3-0 in favor of Hofstra in the 47
th minute. After a foul call gave Hofstra a free kick, the free kick went off a Fordham defender's head and into the goal for an own goal.

Jessica Widmann knocked in from five yards out for her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
The score finished as a 3-1 final in favor of the Pride, as they finished with a 20-11 shot advantage and an 8-2 corner kick edge.
In goal, Fitzgerald had five saves for the Rams, while Friederike Mehring and Ashley Wilson combined to make three stops for the Pride.
The Fordham women's soccer team will next be in action on Thursday, October 1
st, as the Rams begin Atlantic 10 play against the Rhode Island Rams at Jack Coffey Field, beginning at 7:00 PM.
