With the game tied at two, Fordham's Mark Donadio tripled over the centerfielder's head in the eighth inning to score Charles Galiano to give Fordham a lead it would not relinquish, as the Rams topped St. Bonaventure, 4-2, on Sunday at Houlihan Park, completing a three-game sweep of the Bonnies.

With the win, Fordham improved to 21-25 on the season, 12-6 in the Atlantic 10, while St. Bonaventure fell to 14-23-2 overall, 2-16 in the league.

St. Bonaventure took the initial lead in the top of the third inning.  With a runner at third, Cole Peterson drove in Randy Delanoy with a ground ball to first, and then added to the lead in the fifth on and RBI-single by Thad Johnson to make it, 2-0.

Fordham cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the fifth, as a single by Joseph DeVito and three consecutive walks, the last to Matthew Kozuch, forced in the Rams' first run.

The Rams tied the game at two in the sixth.  Mark Donadio drew a walk and then moved to third on a ground rule double by DeVito.  Ryan McNally plated Donadio with a ground out.

The score remained at 2-2 until the eighth, when Fordham scored twice to take a 4-2 advantage.  Galiano led off with a double to the left center gap, and was perfectly sacrificed to third by Jordan Gajdos.  Donadio then drove a shot over the centerfielder's head for an RBI-triple and a 3-2 lead.  DeVito then beat out a potential inning-ending double play to plate Donadio from third.

Fordham reliever Jimmy Murphy (3-3) was able to close it out from there, pitching 1.2 innings of scoreless relief to record his third win of the year.  Ben Greenberg went the first 7.1 innings, allowing two runs on eight hits with two strikeouts.

At the plate, Donadio was 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI, while DeVito was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and a stolen base.  Galiano was also 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

The Fordham baseball team will next be in action on Thursday, May 7th, as the Rams open a three-game Atlantic 10 series at VCU, beginning at 5:00 PM.
