Follow on Twitter Bronx, N.Y. (January 3, 2015) - The Fordham University Rams continue their 2014-2015 season, the 112th season of varsity basketball at Rose Hill, and open their Atlantic 10 season by hosting the VCU Rams in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Sunday, January 4, at 1:00 p.m.
The game will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network with Brent Stover (p-b-p), Bob Wenzel (color) and Jon Rothstein (sidelines) announcing. The game will also be broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and

Fordham enters the game with a 5-6 record following a 74-54 win over South Carolina State in the Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday. VCU enters the game with a 10-3 record after a 72-63 home win over Cleveland State December 29.
Sunday afternoon's contest will be the fourth meeting between Fordham and Virginia Commonwealth on the hardwood and VCU's second appearance in the Rose Hill Gym. VCU took the first three meetings, including sweeping both of last year's matchups, a 76-60 win on January 29 in Richmond as Juvonte Reddic had ten points and ten rebounds for VCU while
Mandell Thomas scored a game-high 25 points for Fordham, and an 85-66 victory in the Rose Hill Gym on February 27 as Reddic netted a game-high 22 points and he added 12 rebounds.

Eric Paschall and
Chris Sengfelder are just one of two sets of freshman teammates to be averaging more than 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg. Paschall is seventh in the Atlantic 10 in scoring with a 15.8 ppg average while also pulling down 5.9 rpg, while Sengfelder is averaging 12.3 ppg and 6.6 rpg. The only other freshman combo to be averaging 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg are Purdue's Isaac Hass (11.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg) and Vince Edwards (10.2 ppg, 5.9 rpg).

Chris Sengfelder is heating up over the past five games, averaging 16.2 ppg and 7.8 rpg while shooting 59.3 percent from the floor (32-54). He scored a season-high 22 points last time out against South Carolina State, shooting 9-for-13 from the field.
