Men’s Basketball travels to Saint Joseph’s on Wednesday

Philadelphia, Pa. (January 14, 2015) - The Fordham University men's basketball squad continues its 2015 Atlantic 10 season by traveling to Philadelphia to face the Saint Joseph's University Hawks, the defending Atlantic 10 champions, in the Hagan Arena on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
 
The game will be streamed on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and www.wfuvsports.org.
 
Fordham enters the game with a 5-9 overall record, 0-3 in the Atlantic 10, following a 76-58 conference loss to Dayton in the Rose Hill Gym on Saturday. Saint Joseph's enters the game with a 6-8 overall record, 0-3 in the A-10, after an 89-74 league loss at #20 VCU on Saturday.
 
Wednesday night's contest will be the 48th meeting between Fordham and Saint Joseph's on the hardwood with the Hawks leading the all-time series, which started in the 1919-20 season, 31-16. Saint Joseph's has won the past nine straight, including an 87-72 win last year on February 22 in Philadelphia as Langston Galloway netted 33 points for the Hawks and Bryan Smith scored 28 for the Rams.
 
Notes
Fordham freshmen Eric Paschall and Chris Sengfelder are the only set of freshman teammates to be averaging more than 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg. Paschall is seventh in the Atlantic 10 in scoring with a 16.3 ppg average while also pulling down 6.2 rpg, while Sengfelder is averaging 11.6 ppg and 6.5 rpg.
 
Through games of January 11, the Fordham Rams have the Atlantic 10's seventh leading scorer, and top fresh­man scorer, in freshman guard Eric Paschall (16.3 ppg) and the second leader in steals in Mandell Thomas (2.4/game). The Rams also have the third leading rebounder in junior forward Ryan Rhoomes (9.3 rpg) while Antwoine An­derson is fifth in assists/game (3.8) and Rhoomes is seventh in the conference in blocked shots, averaging 1.6/game.
