Live VideoAfter a pair of home victories, the Fordham men's soccer team looks to get over the .500 mark for the first time this season, when the Rams travel to Newark for a 4:00 PM showdown with NJIT on Saturday.
The Rams (2-2-0) are fresh off consecutive wins over Lafayette and Manhattan, and look to win three in a row for the first time since 2011. Fordham scored five goals in its two home victories, four of which came from
Andres Penfold, who became the first Ram since Brian Borrhello in 2002 to register two multi-goal games in the same season.
Fordham faces NJIT, who is also 2-2-0 on the year, posting victories over Jacksonville and Marist, while falling to North Florida and Rhode Island.
This is the third all-time meeting between the Rams and the Highlanders, with Fordham holding a 1-0-1 mark. The two squads played to a 1-1 tie in 2005, while in 2006, the Rams recorded a 3-0 win.
