Men's Soccer Opens 2014 Season in Boston

The 2014 Fordham men's soccer season gets underway this weekend, as the Rams make the trek up to Boston for a pair of games.

Fordham had an interesting preseason with three scrimmages,as the Rams looked to integrate 18 newcomers into the line-up.  Fordham defeated Stony Brook, while falling to Villanova and Vermont in preseason action.

The Rams are led by head coach Jim McElderry, who is in his 12th season at the helm.

Fordham opens the season at Boston University of the Patriot League, beginning at 7:15 PM on Friday.  The time change is due to Boston College playing Iona at BU's Nickerson Field at 4:15 PM.

The Terriers and Rams have only met once previously back in 2007 at the Brown Invitational, where Boston University took home a 4-0 win.

On Sunday, Fordham will match-up with fellow Jesuit institution, Boston College of the ACC.  Game time is set for 2:00 PM and will be played at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
