(December 21, 2014) - The Fordham University men's basketball squad will continue its 2014-2015 season, the 112th season of basketball at Rose Hill, on Monday night, December 22, as the Rams travel to Brooklyn to face the Manhattan College Jaspers in the Barclays Center in the annual Battle of the Bronx at 6:00 p.m. as part of the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Festival presented by Konica Minolta.
The game will be streamed live on the Barclays Center web site and it will also be broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and
www.wfuvsports.org and can be followed live via livestats. Follow the links above.
Fordham enters the game with a 3-5 record following a 74-53 loss to St. John's at Madison Square Garden on December 14. Manhattan enters the game with a 3-7 record after a 73-69 victory over Morgan State in the Draddy Gym on Saturday night.
Monday night's contest will be the 107
th meeting between Fordham and Manhattan on the hardwood. The Jaspers lead the all-time series, which started in 1911-12, 55-51. The 106 games played against Manhattan are the most games played against any one opponent for Fordham while the 51 wins over the Jaspers are the most victories over any team for Fordham. The Rams won last year's meeting, 79-75, in the Draddy Gym as
Branden Frazier scored 21 points and
Mandell Thomas added 17 and ten rebounds.

Eric Paschall and
Chris Sengfelder are just one of two sets of freshman teammates to be averaging more than 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg. Paschall leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring with an 18. 1ppg average while also pulling down 5.9 rpg, while Sengfelder is averaging 10.8 ppg and 6.0 rpg. The only other freshman combo to be averaging 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg are Purdue's Isaac Hass (11.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg) and Vince Edwards (10.6 ppg, 6.3 rpg).
* Monday night's game will be Fordham's fourth game at the Barclays Center where the Rams have a 2-1 record to date. Fordham defeated Princeton, 63-60, at the Barclays Center in 2012 and the defeated Georg Mason, 70-67, in the first round of the 2014 Atlantic before falling to Dayton, 87-74, in the second round.
