The Fordham men's soccer team had to sweat out a few results on Sunday afternoon to find out their playoff fate.  In the end, the Rams were rewarded with the #6 seed at the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship, which will be held November 13-16 at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, Virginia.

It is Fordham's first trip to the championship since 2011, when the Rams won a share of the regular season title.

Fordham, Dayton, and La Salle all tied for sixth place in the Atlantic 10's final regular season standings with 11 points.  The Rams defeated both the Flyers and Explorers in the regular season to win the tie-breaker for the sixth seed.

The Championship will kick off Thursday, November 13th when top-seeded Rhode Island and Dayton square off at 11:00 a.m., followed by George Mason and Davidson at 2:00 p.m. Then, Saint Louis and La Salle will play at 5:00 p.m. with host VCU taking on Fordham in the nightcap at 8:00 p.m.

The winner of the URI and UD match will take on the winner of the Patriots and Wildcats in Friday's first semifinal at 5:00 p.m., while the two winners of SLU and La Salle and VCU and Fordham will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

After an off day on Saturday, the semifinal winners will clash at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday with the winner receiving the A-10's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
