The Fordham water polo team finished their west coast trip to the Gary Troyer Tournament on Saturday, dropping a pair of matches to Chapman and La Verne.

The losses put Fordham's record at 10-9 on the season.

In the first match, Fordham was downed by Chapman, 10-6.

Chapman opened with the first four goals of the game before
Landon Kern and
Matthew Farrell scored for Fordham, making it a 4-2 game. Two more Chapman goals made it a 6-2 game at the half.

Fordham closed back within two, 7-5, by the end of the third quarter, as
Ori Raz netted a pair of goals with
Patrick Reyes adding the third.

However, Chapman scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.Â
Mike Hay tallied the final goal for the Rams.

In net,
Noah LeBeau played 3 ½ quarters, making six saves, while
Patrick Harrigan played the remainder of the game.

In match two, La Verne topped Fordham, 8-6.

With the score tied at four at halftime, La Verne posted three goals in the third quarter to take control of the match, while holding Fordham scoreless.

For Fordham, Raz,
Davis DeFontes, and
Eric Minowitz each had two goals apiece, while LeBeau had six saves in net.

The Fordham water polo team will next be in action on Wednesday, October 15
th, when the Rams host St. Francis (NY) College at 7:30 PM at the Messmore Aquatic Center.
