Women's Basketball Travels to St. Bonaventure

17-4 Rams Take On 16-6 Bonnies

After two convincing home victories over UMass and URI, it's back on the road for the Rams, traveling to Western New York for a Saturday afternoon match up with St. Bonaventure.
SERIES HISTORY: Saturday will mark the 31st all-time meeting bewteen the Rams and the Bonnies, with St. Bonaventure holding a 20-10 record against the Rams.

The series was much more evenly matched before the Rams hit a rough patch in 2007, dropping seven consecutive decisions to the Bonnies over the course of five years.  Fordham broke that streak last season; however, topping St. Bonaventure 62-50 in the Rose Hill Gym.
SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE:  A nationally ranked team two seasons ago, the Bonnies hit a rough patch in 2012-2013, going 10-19 overall and 3-11 in conference.  The Bonnies, however, have rebounded with avengeance, entering Saturday's contest with a 16-6 mark , including a 5-2 effort in the Atlantic 10.  
The Rams and Bonnies played a nearly indentical first half of the Atlantic 10 season, with both falling to Duquesne and Dayton and picking up wins over Richmond, Saint Louis and Rhode Island.  The only school St. Bonaventure has played that Fordham has not is La Salle, whom the Bonnies topped 58-35.

St. Bonaventure features three players in double figures, led by sophomore forward Katie Healy at 15.4 points per game.  The Lancaster, N.Y., native is also the team's leading rebounder at 8.5 per outing.  Gabrielle Richmond ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.3 points per game, while Nyla Rueter is right behind her at 10.2

As a team, the Bonnies are shooting 42.7 percent from the floor, including a 35.3 percent effort from beyond the arc.
