Patrick Lenihan totaled six goal in two matches on Sunday.
The Fordham water polo team wrapped up a successful weekend at the Navy Invitational on Sunday, as the Rams defeated Gannon, 10-7, while falling to 18th-ranked Navy, 12-11.

With the split, Fordham finishes the weekend with a 3-1 record.

In the opening contest of the day, Fordham was edged out by Navy by a 12-11 score.

With the score at 12-10 with under a minute in the fourth quarter, Fordham pulled within one on a goal by Ben Clinkinbeard.  The Rams would hold Navy on defense getting possession back with a chance to tie the game.  Unfortunately the Rams were unable to get the equalizer, falling by one.

For Fordham, Patrick Lenihan led the offense with five goals, while Bobby Wurtz, Davis DeFontes, Nicholas Allen, Clinkinbeard, Ori Raz, and Landon Kern each had one goal.  In net, Noah LeBeau saw his first action on the year, posting 10 saves, which included two penalty blocks, and three steals.

In game two on Sunday, Fordham bounced back to defeat Gannon, 10-7.

This time, it was DeFontes leading the Fordham attack, netting four goals, while Wurtz, Patrick Reyes, Allen, Clinkinbeard, Lenihan, and Kern each having one marker.

LeBeau was again in net for the Rams, recording nine saves.

The Fordham water polo team will next be in action on September 14-15, as the Rams compete at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.  Fordham will play Washington & Jefferson and Diablo Valley College on Saturday, followed by matches against Mercyhurst and Bucknell on Sunday.
