After splitting a two game series in Saint Louis to start the week, the Rams played even through another two games on Sunday, taking the first game of a doubleheader 3-0 before losing 3-2 in eight innings in game number two.

In game one, the top of the Fordham lineup proved formidable, as the Rams' one, two and three hitters all picked up an RBI in the 3-0 victory. LaBovick posted a 3-4 effort at the dish, falling a triple shy of the cycle with a single, double and round-tripper. Elise Fortier picked up an RBI single to center in the second inning, while Gabby Luety hit a sacrifice fly that scored the Rams' third and final run in the same frame.
Michele Daubman gave a stellar effort for the Rams while picking up her 14th victory of the season. She pitched a complete game shutout, striking out three and surrendering six hits on the afternoon.
The Rams lost a walk-off heartbreaker for the second time in as many days in the afternoon's final game, as Butler downed Fordham in eight innings by a 3-2 margin.
Patti Maloney pitched the second affair for the Rams, holding the Bulldogs off the board through three innings before allowing a Butler run to get across in top bottom of the fourth.
The Rams remained scoreless until the top of the sixth, when Jamie LaBovick smacked a homer to left center to tie the contest at one.
Neither the Rams nor the Bulldogs put up a run over the next inning and a half, forcing the game into extra frames.
After LaBovick reached on a fielder's choice in the top of the eighth, Fortier ripped a double to left center that scored LaBovick from first.
With a chance to put the game away in the bottom of the eighth, Fordham gave up two runs on three hits to let Butler grab the win.
