Fordham Basketball Hosts Furman Tonight at 7:00 PM

Rams look to go to 4-2 for first time since 2006

Bronx, N.Y. (December 4, 2013) - The Fordham University men's basketball squad continues the 2013-14 season as they host the Furman University Paladins in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday night, December 4, at 7:00 p.m.

Fordham enters the game with a 3-2 record after a 79-75 win at Manhattan College on November 26. Furman enters the game with a 3-3 record after defeating Brevard College, 89-72, in Greenville on Saturday night.
 
The Rams will be led into the game by the top scoring backcourt in the NCAA Division I, senior guard Branden Frazier, a preseason Third Team All-Atlantic 10 pick, and freshman guard Jon Severe, a product of Christ the King High School. Severe is averaging an Atlantic 10-best 23.2 ppg while Frazier is right behind him, averaging 21.8 ppg and has two double-doubles year, the most recent a 24-point, 11-rebound game in a win over Lehigh.
 
Over his three-year career, Frazier has netted 1,186 points, good for 19th on the Fordham all-time scoring list.
 
Wednesday night's contest will be the second meeting between Fordham and Furman on the hardwood. The Rams won the first matchup, 105-74, at St. John's in an NCAA tournament game on March 13, 1971.
