Fordham Basketball Hosts Loyola on Monday at 4:00 PM

Rams looking for 600th all-time win in the Rose Hill Gym

Bronx, N.Y. (December 23, 2013) - The Fordham University men's basketball squad continues the 2013-14 season as they host the Loyola (Ill.) University Ramblers in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Monday afternoon, December 23, at 4:00 p.m. Should the Rams win, it will mark the 600th all-time win for Fordham in the historic Rose Hill Gym, which opened in 1925.

Fordham enters the game with a 6-4 record after an 87-78 loss at Monmouth University on Saturday.  Loyola enters the game with a 5-6 record after falling to Northern Illinois, 55-49, in Chicago on Wednesday.
 
The Rams will be led into the game by the top scoring backcourt in the Atlantic 10, senior guard Branden Frazier, a preseason Third Team All-Atlantic 10 pick, and freshman guard Jon Severe, a product of Christ the King High School. Severe is averaging an Atlantic 10-best 19.8 ppg, after a 32-point game at Monmouth on Saturday which earned his Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week accolades for the third time this season, while Frazier is right behind him, averaging 18.0 ppg, third best in the conference, and has two double-doubles year.
 
Over his three-year career, Frazier has netted 1,257 points, good for 15th on the Fordham all-time scoring list.
 
Monday afternoon's contest will be the second meeting Fordham and Loyola on the hardwood with the Ramblers winning the first meeting, 64-50, in Chicago in 2011.
