Fordham Basketball Hosts Howard on Saturday at 2:00 PM on SNY

Rams look to go to 6-3 for first time since 2000

Bronx, N.Y. (December 13, 2013) - The Fordham University men's basketball squad continues the 2013-14 season as they host the Howard University Bison in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Saturday afternoon, December 14, at 2:00 p.m.
 
The game will feature an ugly Christmas sweater contest with the winner receiving gift cards, and there will be free pizza for all Fordham students in attendance at halftime. Fans are also asked to bring an unwrapped toy for the annual Fordham Basketball Toy Drive. All fans bringing a toy will receive a special Fordham Holiday ornament.
 
The game that will be televised live on SportsNet NY (SNY) with Dave Raymond on play-by-play and Vin Parise on color, and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM ) and www.wfuv.org as well as being streamed on Fordhsports.com and can be followed live via livestats. Follow the links above.
 
Fordham enters the game with a 5-3 record after a 77-73 win over Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y., on Tuesday.  Howard enters the game with a 2-10 record after falling to Central Florida, 79-64, in Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday.
 
The Rams will be led into the game by the top scoring backcourt in the Atlantic 10, senior guard Branden Frazier, a preseason Third Team All-Atlantic 10 pick, and freshman guard Jon Severe, a product of Christ the King High School. Severe is averaging an Atlantic 10-best 19.4 ppg while Frazier is right behind him, averaging 19.1 ppg after netting 27 points at Colgate on Tuesday, and has two double-doubles year, the most recent a 24-point, 11-rebound game in a win over Lehigh.
 
Over his three-year career, Frazier has netted 1,230 points, good for 17th on the Fordham all-time scoring list.
 
Wednesday night's contest will be the first ever meeting between Fordham and Howard on the hardwood.
