Cambridge, Mass. - MIT's Zach Churukian and Ory Tasman each scored twice, while Nolan Kruse made seven saves, as the Engineers topped the Fordham Rams in water polo action on Saturday afternoon in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The loss puts Fordham's record at 11-14 on the season, 3-7 in league play.

The Rams and engineers both had slow starts as the score was only 1-1 after the first period.

The scoring picked up in the second with each team recording four goals apiece.

MIT though grabbed a one-goal lead at 7-6, heading into the final period. The Engineers scored the opening goal of the fourth quarter to expand their lead, but Fordham responded with a goal from
Davis DeFontes to get back within one. MIT though scored the insurance goal they needed in the final minute to pull out the 9-7 decision.

For Fordham,
Nicholas Allen led the way with three goals, while
R.J. Simmons added two markers. DeFontes and
Patrick Lenihan rounded out the Fordham scoring with a goal each. In net,
Noah LeBeau had eight saves.

The Fordham water polo team is back in action on Sunday, November 3
rd, as the Rams play at Harvard at 11:20 AM and at Connecticut College, beginning at 5:00 PM.
