Swimming & Diving Faces Off With Boston University

Boston, Mass. - The Fordham swimming & diving teams traveled to Boston University on Saturday for the squad's third dual meet of the season.  The Rams would fall in both meets as the men lost, 178-117, while the women fell, 177-121.
 
Fordham won four men's events and five women's events on the day.
 
On the men's side, Steve Sholdra and Shintaro Noguchi each won two events.  Sholdra captured both distance events, winning the 1000-yard freestyle In 9:32.49 and the 500-yard freestyle in 4:37.61.  For Noguchi, he won the 100-yard freestyle in 46.51 seconds and the 100-yard butterfly in 46.51 seconds.
 
In the women's competition, Megan Polaha was the lone dual event winner, taking home the 100- and 200-yard butterfly in 56.87 seconds and 2:03.37, respectively.  The Rams also swept the breaststroke events, as Kelly Carroll won the 100-yard event in 1:07.46, with Anna Marshall taking the 200-yard edition in 2:26.23.
 
The Fordham swimming & diving teams are back in action on November 15-16 at the Princeton Invitational.
