The 12th Annual Rose Hill Classic concluded on Saturday with the NJIT Highlanders posting a 3-0 record to earn the tournament title, while Stony Brook placed second with 3-1 record. Host Fordham finished third with a 2-2 record.

Stony Brook 3, Cornell 0
Day two of the Rose Hill Classic began with Stony Brook posting a 3-0 win over Cornell. Final set scores were 25-13, 25-21, and 25-21.
The Seawolves hit .292 as a team, led by the dynamic duo of Melissa Rigo and Evann Slaughter. Rigo hit .375 for the match, notching 10 kills and 11 digs, while Slaughter had a .421 hitting percentage with 11 kills and six blocks.
For Cornell, Breanna Wong had a team-high 11 kills, while Kelly Reinke posted a double-double with 20 assists, 10 digs, and two aces.

Fordham 3, Bucknell 0
The Fordham volleyball team registered its second win of the Rose Hill Classic on Saturday, as the Rams swept a three-set match from the Bucknell Bison. Final set scores were 25-15, 25-20, and 25-17.
The Rams (4-8) were on fire the entire match, hitting .347 as a team, which included four players hitting .385 or better. Randi Ewing hit .545 with eight kills, while Brennan Delsing hit .471 with eight kills and six digs. Lisa Hipp registered a match-high 12 kills to go with nine digs with Carina Thompson hitting .385 with five kills and three blocks.

NJIT 3, Cornell 2
Leading two sets to one, the NJIT Highlanders got a scare from the Cornell Big Red, as Cornell forced the fifth five-set match of the tournament. However, the Highlanders held off the Big Red in the fifth set, As NJIT won the match, 17-25, 25-19, 31-29, 23-25, and 15-13.
NJIT was led by Janet Snell, who finished with 12 kills and 14 digs, while Renata Pandolfo set a Rose Hill Classic Tournament record with 33 digs defensively to go with five assists.
Cornell's Kelly Reinke was the top performer, totaling 53 assists, 14 digs, five blocks, and two kills, while Breanna Wong had a match-high 16 kills.
Match 8
Stony Brook 3, Bucknell 2
The final five-set match of the Rose Hill Classic came in match eight, as Stony Brook topped Bucknell in five sets, 25-12, 23-25, 23-25, 25-16, and 15-12.
Stony Brook's dynamic duo was at it again, as Melissa Rigo and Evann Slaughter dominated the offense side of the ball. Rigo had 23 kills and 17 digs, while hitting .320 for the match, while Slaughter had 13 kills and four blocks.
Match 9
NJIT 3, Fordham 1
The last match of the tournament featured NJIT against Fordham, where the Highlanders posted a four-set win over the Rams to win the 2012 Rose Hill Classic. Final set scores were 25-21, 20-25, 25-14, and 25-14.
Tournament MVP Renata Pandolfo registered a match-high 27 digs for NJIT, while Camilla Tinari had 13 kills and six digs.
Fordham struggled on offense hitting .007 as a team. Brennan Delsing was the lon Rams to reach double figure kills with 12 , while adding five blocks. Randi Ewing also chipped in five kills and eight blocks for the Rams.
The Fordham volleyball team will next be in action on Tuesday, September 11th, when the Rams conclude a six-match homestand against the Lafayette College Leopards at 7:30 PM in the Rose Hill Gym.
