Bronx, N.Y. - It was a classic win and you're in game at Finnessy Field in Philadelphia between the Fordham Rams and the Saint Joseph's Hawks. The winner would move on to the Atlantic 10 Championship, while the loser would most likely have to wait until next year for another chance at the Atlantic 10 title. In the end, the Hawks' Mo Hawkins scored in the 53rd minute to give Saint Joseph's the 1-0 win over the Rams.

The loss ends Fordham's season at 8-11-0 overall, 4-5-0 in the Atlantic 10, while Saint Joseph's improved to 9-6-4 on the year, 4-2-3 in the conference.

Both teams were careful over the first half, as the two teams combined for 10 totals shot. The Hawks had one shot on goal which Fordham keeper Ally White handled easily, while Fordham put in two shots on goal to test Saint Joseph's Christine Neal, one by JoJo Murino and the other by Annie Worden, but both were saved.

Saint Joseph's would break the tie in the 53rd minute, as Emily Irons put in a lead pass to Mo Hawkins. Hawkins then scored from 20 yards out to the top left corner for her eighth tally of the season.

Fordham tried to get the equalizer, registering six shots after the Hawks' goal, but only one by Worden in the 74th minute was on goal. Neal made the save and her defense would hold Fordham off the scoreboard for the remainder of the contest.
