Washington, D.C. -
The road trip to Washington, D.C. was memorable for the Rams when they ran into Vice President Biden at a team building event on Friday night. However it quickly became forgettable on Saturday with a 54-43 loss to George Washington from the Charles Smith Center. With the loss, Fordham is 9-7 overall, 0-1 in the A-10 while the Colonials improved to 8-7 and 1-0.

The Rams extended their advantage to 15-12 with some torrid shooting (6-of-11) until Danni Jackson buried a three-pointer and made the foul shot for a four-point-play for George Washington at 11:17.
The game went back and forth from that point as Fordham maintained a small lead into the media timeout at 7:35
The Colonials would even the score at 21-21 when a block by Tara Booker led to a Jackson layup at 4:21. Fordham would regain the lead, 26-23, courtesy of a Cody Sims three-pointer off the glass at 2:22.

Collins had the hot hand for the Rams early on in the half as she hit all three of her field goal attempts to open the half. Despite her torrid shooting, Fordham suffered through a 4:07 scoring drought, from 15:19 to 11:01. During that stretch, George Washington chipped away at the Fordham lead, eventually knotting the game at 39 on a Jackson three at 11:41.
