Philadelphia, Pa. - Competing for the second time in as many days, the Fordham swimming & diving teams were in Philadelphia on Saturday, looking to match their sweep of Iona from last night. The Rams however fell just a bit short, as the women's team did defeat La Salle, 160-140, but the men's team came up just shy, falling to the Explorers by a 163-133 count.

Highlighting the day, women's senior diver Andrea Krok became the first Fordham female diver to eclipse a score of 300 over six dives in the three-meter competition. She won the event with a new school record total of 304.50, topping her own mark of 283.39 back in 2010. The score is also an NCAA Zone Diving qualifying score.

Joining Krok in the individual event win column was fellow diver Elizabeth Dorger and swimmers Courtney Collyer and Brienne Ryan. Dorger captured the one-meter diving event with a season-best score of 262.95, while Collyer and Ryan each won two events.

Collyer won the 200 butterfly event in 2:06.77, while also taking the 200 individual medley title in 2:06.83. For Ryan, both of her victories came in the backstroke events, winning the 100 event in 55.30 seconds and the 200 event in 2:01.68.

In the relays, both Ryan and Collyer teamed with Kelly Bunster and Alana Biagioli in the 200 medley relay to open the meet with a win in 1:47.70, while Ryan was also a part of the winning 400 freestyle relay with Biagioli, Alexandra Wessel and Ariana Peschke in 3:33.34.

On the men's side, junior Thomas Yi had a phenomenal day, winning three individual events. He started the day with a win in the 100 backstroke in 52.28 seconds and followed with the same performance in the 200 backstroke, taking first in 1:55.02. Yi capped the day with a first place finish in the 200 individual medley in 1:57.64.

Other individual winners on the men's side included Shintaro Noguchi and Devon Morris. Noguchi won the 200 butterfly event in 1:55.67, while Morris was first in the 100 freestyle event in 47.14 seconds.

Both Noguchi and Morris were also a part of the winning 400 freestyle relay team with Patrick Militti and Nicolas Belfanti, as they finished with a time of 3:10.06.

The Fordham swimming & diving teams will next be in action on Saturday, January 28th, when the Rams compete in a dual meet with Rutgers and Rider in Piscataway, New Jersey, beginning at 10:00 AM.
