The 11th Annual Rose Hill Classic is almost complete as six of the eight matches are in the books at the Rose Hill Gym, led by Albany, who completed their play with a 3-0 record. The Great Danes won two matches on Saturday, while Fordham and Colorado each had one victory on the day.
The victories put Fordham at 2-5, Albany at 3-6, and Colorado at 4-3. Siena took two losses, dropping their record to 2-5.

Fordham 3, Siena 0

The opening match on Saturday at the Rose Hill Classic pitted Fordham against Siena, with the Rams snapping a four-match losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Saints. Final set scores were 25-14, 18-25, 25-19, and 25-17.
It was a role reversal from Friday night, as the Rams controlled the net, posting 11 team blocks on the Saints' attack, and holding Siena to a .048 hitting percentage.
Fordham freshman Rose Diaz-Vazquez had her best performance of the season offensively, netting a season-high 10 kills with Brittany Daulton adding 12 kills and seven digs. Krissy Buongiorno was also big at the net, posting six kills and six blocks. Sara Konkel dished out a match-high 24 assists with Chelsea Moore having a match-high 15 digs.

Albany 3, Colorado 0

In the second match of the day, Albany's Dunja Prgomet had a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs, as the Great Danes earned their second win of the tournament over the Colorado Buffaloes in three sets. Set scores were 25-22, 25-21, and 25-18.
Besides Prgomet, Casey Wright added 11 kills, with Gabby Whitworth having nine kills and five blocks. Brooke Stanley dished out 32 assists with Laurie Gonzalez registering 13 digs, three assists, and a pair of assists.
For Colorado, Kerra Schroeder had a double-double with 10 kills and 11 kills, while Megan Beckwith had a match-high 19 digs.
Match 5
Albany 3, Siena 1
Box Score
In match three, Albany completed a 3-0 record at the Rose Hill Classic to take the team title with a four-set victory over Siena. Set scores were 25-15, 22-25, 25-16, and 25-13.
Albany was led by the strong bench play of Samantha Brostrom, who finished the match with a team-high 15 kills and a .517 hitting percentage, as well as setter Brooke Stanley, who ended the match with 45 assists, six kills, eight digs, and four service aces. Dunja Prgomet and Casey Wright also had 11 and 10 kills respectively with Laurie Gonzalez having 26 digs.
Siena was led by Taylor Akana, who registered a match-high 16 kills to go with 14 digs, while Colleen Ahearn had 10 kills.
Match 6
Colorado 3, Fordham 0

In the final match of the night, Colorado welcomed back their starting setter Alyssa Valentine with open arms, as her play led the Buffaloes to a 3-0 match win over host Fordham. Set scores were 25-17, 25-15, and 25-13.
Valentine had the Buffaloes' offense operating on all cylinders, hitting .287 as a team, while included a double-double from Emily Alexis with 11 kills and 13 digs. Valentine finished with 32 assists, seven digs, three blocks and three kills. Kerra Schroeder also had 12 kills and five digs for Colorado.
Fordham just couldn't find a groove in the match posting 22 kills and 22 errors offensively. Brittany Daulton posted a team-high five kills with Sara Konkel and Mary Diamantidis each having 10 assists. Randi Ewing also had five blocks and three kills.
